The Nazi/Progressive Agenda

The Nazis had a plan for Eastern Europe if they were the victors in the Second World War.  Heinrich Himmler made it quite clear in several pronouncements and discussions.  Apart from the massive population transfers that would be required for German Lebensraum, the subject Slav races were to be kept manageable via birth control and freely available abortion.  Hitler himself, in his Table Talk commentary, argued that vaccination against infectious diseases should be reserved for Aryans alone, so that undesirable human strains would die off naturally.  But most important was the resolution that inferior peoples should be kept ignorant and untrained, to serve as an unskilled labor resource.  In Reichsführer-SS Himmler’s words, “They should be taught to sign their name, to count up to five hundred, and that obedience to Germany is the will of God.”

Well, we up-to-date virtuous moderns profess to be appalled at that kind of brutal contempt for human beings.  But I often wonder: Did Hitler actually win the war?  Sure, the Wehrmacht was beaten, Germany lay in ruins, and the name of Nazi has become a by-word for inhumanity and callousness. And yet much of what passes for the “progressive” agenda these days is unnervingly familiar to anyone who has taken the trouble to study the Third Reich’s plans for subject populations in the Generalgouvernement, or occupied eastern territories.

Birth control and unrestricted abortion are the most obvious examples.  Why are these two things pushed and promoted with a near-religious zealotry by left-liberals?  Add to this the very open and unmistakable enthusiasm of progressive types for anything that promotes the LGBT agenda.  What are these enthusiasms other than campaigns to keep a subject population from reproducing itself, and growing beyond the limits of effective control?

The parallels continue.  Population transfer—what else is it but what the despicable George Soros calls “the new normal,” as he did when encouraging and defending the influx of Moslem refugees into Europe? The left wants large-scale demographic dislocations of this sort as a political instrument to dilute the power of those Western nations that still have large groups of citizens who oppose the globalist agenda.  If progressives can’t realize that agenda via abortion, birth control, and the celebration of faggotry, they’ll attempt to do it by population transfer.

There’s even something analogous to Hitler’s suggestion that inconvenient peoples be allowed to die off, sans medical attention.  What did the Obama health care debacle in the United States do other than send the insurance premiums and deductibles of working-class persons through the roof, essentially depriving them of hospitalization except at ruinous rates?  Was that an accident?  Or did our multiculturalist government want to send thousands of older white conservative voters to an early grave?  What a great way to deal with political recalcitrance.

But let’s turn to that most important point: the Nazi policy of keeping subject populations ignorant and untrained.  Look at our wrecked and dysfunctional public school system.  It’s not just the fault of financially rapacious teachers’ unions that protect incompetence.  The entire framework of pedagogical theory that dominates teacher training in this country is distorted and counter-productive.  Rather than focusing on the mastery of material through practice, memorization, and the intensive study of basics, we have a teaching establishment in the K-12 sequence that lives in a dreamworld of socialization, emoting, audiovisual claptrap, fun and games, and soft-left propagandizing, and which considers any kind of rigorous, traditional mode of study to be “oppressive” and “insensitive.”  As a result, millions of American students are now so stupid that they can’t read an analog clock, write cursive script, learn a foreign language, scan a line of verse, compose a coherent paragraph, locate Russia on a map, understand earlier English prose, or do simple multiplication without the help of a digital calculator.  And you tell me that there isn’t a plan to de-skill and dumb down the general population?

As with Nazism and Communism, the driving force behind these various social urges is transrational, and not vulnerable to debate.  Arguing core assumptions with a Nazi, a Communist, or a left-liberal “progressive” only evokes high dudgeon and outrage, followed by a demand for obedience and silence.  Ideologies are religious in nature; they are rooted in a psychological compulsion to believe that cannot be shaken by discussion.  I have always argued that left-liberalism (which frequently goes by the code-name of “progressivism”) is neither a philosophy, nor a political orientation, nor even just a set of opinions and preferences.  Progressivism is a fundamentalist religion.  And like all such religions it is intolerant of critique, relentlessly proselytizing, and driven by an unquenchable enthusiasm to reshape the world into its own image.  There is no sense whatsoever in even talking to left-liberals; they are as willfully blind to counter-argument as Jehovah’s Witnesses or Leninist apparatchiks.  No facts, figures, or refutations are allowed to threaten their religiously held convictions of righteousness and self-importance.

And it is for these reasons that progressives, like Nazis and Communists, can seriously entertain the notion of debasing and degrading a population if that population is intractable or resistant to change.  What not abort them or contracept them?  Why not keep them ignorant?  Why not destroy their cultural moorings by mass population transfers?  Why not slowly kill them by making their health care costs unaffordable?  Why not tax them heavily to deprive them of their property?  Why not make them second-class citizens in their own country?

The Nazi plan for mass murder—both physical and cultural—was clear and precise.  Left-liberal progressives have taken pains to keep their plan in soft focus, but it’s just as malevolent and deadly.  Luckily, Western peoples are starting to wake up and realize what’s going on.
